The new corona control ordinance applies statewide. It relies on uniform statewide rules, and no distinction is made between counties and independent cities. Indoors, the "2G" rule generally applies to adults. Basically, masks are mandatory if distance cannot be safely maintained, both indoors and outdoors.
According to the Corona Protection Ordinance, hotel guests must prove one of the following conditions at check-in:
- recovered (min. 28 days as well as max. 6 months ago)
- recovered + one vaccination with a vaccine authorised in the European Union
- complete vaccination with a vaccine authorised in the European Union (last vaccination must be 14 days ago).
- - Exceptions to this rule exist for persons who cannot be vaccinated against the coronavirus for medical reasons (a qualified medical certificate confirming the diagnosis must be presented).
- As well as generally for children and adolescents up to and including 11 years of age. For children and adolescents between 12 and 17 years of age, the "3G" rule applies. Here, a negative Corona test result (max. 24 hours, rapid test must be confirmed in writing/digitally by a test center) must be presented upon arrival.
The relevant proof must be presented at check-in together with an official identification document. You can find the current test centres in Traben-Trarbach here.
A new test must be carried out every 72 hours, calculated from the last test result, for stays of several days. This only applies to persons who have not been completely vaccinated or recovered.
Source and further information on the current regulations can be found here.
AMENDED RULES FROM DECEMBER 04, 2021:
Beginning Saturday, December 4, 2021, the "2G-plus rule" will be expanded in Rheinland-Pfalz. Vaccinated, recovered, as well as recovered plus once vaccinated persons must present a valid negative test.
Thank you for your understanding.
The city of Traben-Trarbach lies on the River Moselle in the Rhineland-Palatinate of western Germany. The Acher Hof, a whitewashed stone building with a timbered facade and gabled roof is part of an ancient estate dating back to the ninth century. On one of the town's hills is the ruined castle of Grevenburg which was founded in the fourteenth century. It endured many sieges and battles until its destruction in 1734. The Starkenburg Castle is a another ancient monument and the foundations of the Mont Royal Fort are all that remain of the enormous structure built by the French King Louis XIV. However, the most impressive Mediaeval monument is the Town Tower, a beautifully restored stone watchtower that was once part of the city's defensive wall built in 1350. The tower includes a glockenspiel of twenty-eight bronze bells which play at various times throughout the day.
